Last year I met a couple of very nice young men from Michigan that had come to Kansas to hunt. I was glad to see that they came back this year...and got another nice looking deer for their efforts. What I didn't know until just recently...is that they are celebrities in the World of Deer Hunting! Antler Geeks are guys (no girls?) that love the outdoors and want to prove "that you don't have to have access to large tracts of managed ground to hunt mature deer. If you haven't had a chance to get out to HorseThief for some end of the summer kayaking...hurry! We've been out twice in the past week and it was wonderful! Just make sure you pack a jacket...it's a bit cooler than I had expected. Late afternoon is just perfect (I would bet early morning is too...but I haven't managed to get away from work that early.)
